Back at the Dealership Culture Station no. 5, 2005 (Made in England?)
He says there are no cowboys in the show but I do remember a gun on a hip in a large painting by English artist Richard Patterson.(That might be a naked girl instead of a cowboy)
What do you think of Troy's final word on the show?
"...the most fertile and unique artistic landscape in America."
What a vapid write-up.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's nice that he has provided those people that don't want to actualy go see the show with a play-by-play description as opposed to writing a REAL fucking REVIEW.
"In the large and beautiful universe of Texas art," writes Kamps, "this exhibition represents a single constellation, an evocative pattern that suggests a larger whole."
Riiiiight. Blow jobs for Toby Kamps, our new Mother Teresa of the Texas art scene.
